Everyone loves cake and everyone has a different style they want. Some people want something simple, while others want something eye-catching. Whatever your preference or needs are, we have options for you!

Anyone who has ever planned an event knows cakes are expensive, you can see our pricing chart above. We try to have options for everyone. We also have sales on cakes every once and a while, along with having cake packages.

The general rule of thumb is when buying a cake, you should expect to spend anywhere from $3 to $5 a serving. We try to price below that on simple cakes because, with those cakes, decoration is minimal to no decorations. And no fondant is used.

Simple flavors like vanilla and chocolate are easy to make and don't require anything special. While things like our bourbon bacon cake require extra supplies and are more in-depth. The more complicated and complex the flavor, the more it will cost. But we try to keep things pretty similar in price when it comes to our flavors.

Then there is the frosting... Buttercream frosting is easy to make and doesn't cost much. This is our cheaper option. However, some cakes just look better with fondant. Fondant costs more though, especially to buy the ones that are gluten-free. So fondant does add to the cost.

The design of the cake is a huge player when it comes to the pricing of a cake. Want something simple with no decorations? That's what we call a simple cake. It is just frosting with minimal piping done. The piping is done in the same color as the rest of the cake. This is where we keep our prices lower than the typical $3 to $5 per serving.

If you're looking for tier cakes, things get a bit more pricey. This is because it takes more product to make and they are typically highly detailed cakes! These cakes are the ones you normally find at weddings or elaborate birthday parties. They are beautifully designed cakes that take time and skill to make and decorate. With this listing, our pricing typically sits at $4 per serving in price. Due to the amount of time and effort, our bakers put into each cake!

Then there are 2-D and 3-D cakes that have special pricing.

So when it comes to pricing, a lot goes into figuring out how much to charge. How much do the supplies cost, how detailed the cake is, and how much time needs to go into the cake? We want to make sure every cake that leaves here is perfect and exactly what you envisioned. It takes time to make sure that happens.

We guarantee you'll love the cake we make you! It will be packed with flavor, moist, and delicious! We will put as much time in effort into the cake as it needs to make it absolutely perfect! You won't be disappointed!!

FAQ's About Pricing Deelightfully Gluten Free | Gluten Free Bakery

  • How much should a piece of cake cost?

You'll notice the pricing between your local supermarket and our bakery is completely different! The supermarket prices their cakes at around $.25 to $2 a serving and this is because their cakes are mass-produced in a factory and then decorated in the store. Minimal effort goes into it on their part. With bakeries, the baker puts all their effort into making your cake so the cost jumps to $3 to $5 per serving.

  • Why are custom cakes so expensive?

Anyone who has been to a wedding knows that custom cakes can be expensive. But as anyone who has ever had a custom cake will also tell you, they are worth every penny. The price is high because you get exactly what you want for your party, no matter how elaborate the design may be. The more intricate the flavors and designs, the more time and supplies the baker needs. But in the end, you have a cake that is truly one-of-a-kind and perfectly suited for your event. And that is worth any price.

  • Why is fondant so expensive?

Fondant is a popular choice for special occasion cakes, but it's important to understand the challenges that come with working with this type of icing. First, fondant is heavier than buttercream, so you'll need to start with a denser cake. This can be more expensive, and it can be hard to find gluten-free fondant. Second, you'll need to take the time to carefully apply the fondant to the cake. This means you'll need to pay for the time necessary to create and style the fondant onto the cake. Keep these things in mind when deciding whether or not fondant is right for your next special event cake.
